This wonderful old map of Casablanca was originally published in 1934. It was created by Gaillac-Monrocq.
This is a very detailed map of the economic and business centre of Morocco. The city, which was occupied by the French during the time the map was published, is the chief port of Morocco and is well known as the setting for the movie "Casablanca".
Moreover, Casablanca is the location of the famous Anfa Conference between Winston Churchill and Theo Roosevelt, where they discussed the war's progress in conquered territory.
This map looks great at all sizes: 18x9.5in (46x24cm), 24x12.6 inches (61x32cm), 36x19 inches (91.5x48.3cm), 40x21.1 inches (101.6x53.7cm), 50x26.4 inches (127x67cm), 60x31.7 inches (152.5x80.5cm) and 70x37 inches (178x94cm), but it looks even better when printed large.
I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 200in (508cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
This map is incredibly wide, which would make it a perfect statement piece above a mantelpiece, sofa or desk.
The fifth listing image shows an example of my map personalisation service.
Please note the unframed 18x9.5in (46x24cm), 24x12.6 inches (61x32cm) and 36x19 inches (91.5x48.3cm) map has white edges around the map. These edges can help you with framing, or if you don’t need them they are very easy to snip off with scissors. All other maps, including the framed maps, look exactly like the listing images.
If you’re looking for something slightly different, another option would be this amazing map of West Africa by Emanuel Bowen in 1747.
The locations on this map include: Ancienne Medina, Port of Casablanca, Derb Ghallef, New Medina, La Corniche, Hippodrome and Pasteur Avenue.

This would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, work leaving or housewarming gift for someone interested in Casablanca or someone who loves the film of the same name.
This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
