This wonderful old map of Hollywood was originally published in 1956. It was created by an anonymous mapmaker.
A rather interesting map of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Bel-Air that guides you right to the doorstep of just about every famous Hollywood star of the 1950s - thus the name of the map, "Starland".
The map shows you the location of hundreds of Hollywood stars, including Walt Disney, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Temple, James Stewart and a couple of the Warner bros (Jack and Harry).
The map also includes the addresses of some prominent nightclubs at the time, premiere theatres, and film studios.
This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16in (30.5x41cm), 16x20in (40.5x51cm), 18x24in (45.5x61cm), 24x36in (61x91.5cm), 32x40in (81.5x102cm), 40x50in (102x127cm), 48x60in (122x153cm) and 56x70in (142x178cm), but it looks even better when printed large.
I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 100in (254cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
The model in the listing images is holding the 16x20in (40.5x51cm) version of this map.

If you’re looking for something slightly different, another option would be this amazing map of Los Angeles by K.M. Leuschner in 1932.
The locations on this map include: Beverly Hills, Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles Country Club, Canon Drive, University of California (Los Angeles), Bel Air and Santa Monica Boulevard.

This would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, work leaving or housewarming gift for someone interested in Hollywood or movie history from the 1950s.
This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
