Created almost 450 years ago, this is the first ever accurate, printed map of Pembrokeshire. It was originally published in 1578 by Christopher Saxton, the father of British cartography. It is a beautiful, highly detailed and extremely rare old map..
Pembrokeshire is situated in the South West of Wales and is bordered by Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. It is historically known for its mining and fishing industries, as well as its Welsh heritage. As a result of the county's beaches, Pembrokeshire today attracts huge numbers of tourists.
Some of the locations on this map include: Newport, Cardigan, Fishguard, Haverfordwest, Pembroke, St.Davids, Tenby, Caldey Island, Dale and Wales.
This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16in (30.5x41cm), 18x24in (45.5x61cm), 16x20in (40.5x51cm), 24x36in (61x91.5cm), 30x40in (76x101.5cm), 37x50in (94x127cm), 45x60in (114x152.5cm) and 52x70in (132x178cm), but it looks best at larger sizes.
I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 70in (178cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.

If you’re looking for something slightly different, another option would be this amazing map of Pembrokeshire by John Speed in 1611.

This would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, work leaving or housewarming gift for someone interested in Pembrokeshire or someone from the South West of Wales.
This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
